“试管婴儿”的名称由来

“试管婴儿”其实是“体外受精-胚胎移植（in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer，IVF-ET）”的俗称。之所以这么叫，是因为胚胎有一段时间是在胚胎实验室中进行体外生长发育的。

在大家的印象中，实验室的操作很多都是在试管中完成，于是一个非常形象贴切的描述“试管婴儿”便广为传播，其实试管婴儿和试管是没有多大关系的。

从准妈妈的卵巢中取出数枚卵子，在实验室里让它们与处理后的准爸爸的精子结合，形成受精卵，再将受精卵人工培养成胚胎，在合适的时候把胚胎移植回准妈妈的子宫，使之在准妈妈的子宫内着床并继续发育。

胚胎一般只在实验室里面培养3-7天，绝大部分的成长还是在母体子宫中，而不是在“试管”中，因此不能单纯以字面意思来理解。

“试管婴儿”的胚胎培养

试管婴儿的胚胎培养在胚胎实验室里完成，胚胎实验室是整个生殖中心的心脏，肩负着维持胚胎早期发育的重任。因此，胚胎实验室对环境要求极为苛刻，始终保持恒定的温度、湿度及气压，还要尽可能降低挥发性有机化合物(Volatile Organic Compounds，VOC)的含量，以减少对胚胎的毒害。

培养液对于胚胎的发育至关重要，给胚胎提供了适宜的环境和营养支持。试管所使用的培养液的主要成分包括水、盐类、能量物质、氨基酸、维生素、蛋白质等，这些成分组合在一起，模拟胚胎在母体内发育的环境，其酸碱度、渗透压、营养成分、能量物质等，每一个参数都非常的重要，每一种成分都对胚胎的生长、发育起着重要的作用。

胚胎的培养是在专门的胚胎培养皿的微滴或微孔中进行，每个胚胎都有独立的“房间”，培养皿放入温度和气体浓度恒定的培养箱中进行培养。借助培养箱的延时摄像功能，我们则可以根据“房间号”及时跟踪观察每个胚胎的发育情况，以选择最优质的胚胎进行移植。

上海交通大学医学院附属仁济医院生殖医学中心，是上海市唯一进入复旦版中国医院排行榜生殖专科排名前十位的生殖医学中心，连续五年位列上海第一、全国前十。

仁济医院是上海市最早开展辅助生殖技术临床及科研工作的医疗单位。1992年组建上海市人类精子库，2001年成立生殖医学中心，目前开展涵盖所有不孕不育及优生优育诊疗技术项目，年门诊量突破40万人次，IVF周期数近1万周期，临床妊娠率连续五年居上海市首位。

中心目前已经搭建了完善的学科平台，2009年牵头成立上海交通大学不孕不育专病诊治中心，2010年上海市卫计委批准建立上海市生殖与优生技术中心，2012年上海市科委批准建立上海市辅助生殖与优生重点实验室，2013年建立国家辅助生殖与优生工程研究中心上海分中心，2014年上海市卫计委批准建立上海市人类辅助生殖技术培训基地。2018年上海市人类辅助生殖技术质量控制中心挂靠仁济生殖医学中心。2019年1月成为国内首家通过DNV GL&RTAC辅助生殖专项国际认证的中心，为国内和国际患者提供更加安全优质的生殖医疗服务。2021年成功获批“上海市生育力保护与重建中心”等学科平台，全国首发MyBaby区块链胚胎可视化应用。2023年获评上海市重中之重研究中心、上海市公共卫生重点学科，学科建设发展踏上新台阶。2026年获批建立国家人类辅助生殖技术培训基地，承担全国各生殖中心新上岗人员的培训工作。

Renji Hospital is a tertiary comprehensive hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine founded in 1844 which integrates medical science, education and research. The Shanghai Human Sperm Bank was established in 1992, and the Reproductive Center was set up in 2001. The Reproductive Center of Renji Hospital is the first center qualified for assisted reproductive technology (ART) from the National Ministry of Health (former) in 2004. Currently, it covers all projects regarding infertility and reproductive genetics diagnosis and treatment technology. The Reproductive Center of Renji Hospital plays a leading role in the establishment of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Infertility Diagnosis and Treatment Center in 2009. It has been the Reproductive Technology and Reproductive Genetics Center in Shanghai since 2010, and sets up the Shanghai Key Laboratory for Assisted Reproduction and Reproductive Genetics in 2012. In addition, it is named as the National Research Center for Assisted Reproductive Technology and Reproductive Genetics Shanghai Branch since 2013. Thereafter in 2014, it has established the Training Base for Shanghai Assisted Reproductive Technology. Besides, the Shanghai Quality Control Center for Assisted Reproductive Technology is established and affiliated to the center in 2018. Lately, the Reproductive Center of Renji Hospital is the first center in China to get the DNV GL&RTAC Health System Certification for Assisted Reproductive Technology in January 2019. The center has an annual of over 400,000 outpatient visits, and over 10,000 IVF cycles each year. In 2021, the center was successfully approved as a subject platform such as the "Shanghai Fertility Protection and Reconstruction Center" and launched the country's first MyBaby blockchain embryo visualization application. In 2023, it will be rated as a top priority research center in Shanghai and a key public health discipline in Shanghai, and the discipline construction and development will reach a new level. In 2026, it was approved to establish a National Training Base for Human Assisted Reproductive Technology, responsible for training new personnel from reproductive centers across the country.
